"Save Our Stories" was founded ten years ago as a last resort to save the Monroe County Historical Museum.
We succeeded in that first step. Today, our mission is to carry the, now, Monroe County Museum System well into the 21st century. 

We believe the stories of our families and communities are worth saving. We recognize the connection between those that came before us and our daily experiences. We wish to share in those experiences and preserve them for future generations.
